It’s been a long, emotional road, full of ups and downs, but I’m grateful to say there has been steady progress. Pulmonary rehab has truly been pushing me to my limits, but it’s working. I’m gaining strength, learning to breathe a little easier, and have even experienced some healthy weight loss that’s helping me get closer to transplant readiness.

All my vaccinations are now completed, and with that milestone behind me, I’m anxiously awaiting the next joint meeting of the transplant board, where I’m hoping and praying to finally be listed for my double lung transplant. This moment means everything, a chance at a full breath, a longer life, and more time with the people I love.

It was a thing of grace over the weekend as Avian Bestman Jumbo Uze, former Public Relations Officer of the Aviary Club of Nigeria, laid his spouse’s mother to rest.

The solemn occasion brought together family, friends, and members of the Aviary Club, who stood in solidarity to honor the memory of Mama. In keeping with the club’s creed “an injury to one is an injury to all, and a joy to one is a joy to all” the gathering reflected both compassion and unity.

Though it was a time of mourning, the event also became a celebration of Mama’s life. Avian Jumbo Uze expressed gratitude for the successful burial rites and for journey mercies granted to all who traveled to pay their respects. His words reminded everyone that even in moments of loss, there is room for thanksgiving and reflection.

The Aviary Club family continues to extend heartfelt condolences to Avian Jumbo Uze and his spouse’s family, while also celebrating Mama’s lasting legacy.

The IGANMODE Chapter of the Aviary Club of Nigeria proudly marks its first anniversary as a chartered chapter under the Akete Regional Council.

As Avians, we uphold a strong tradition of structure and protocol. The attire shown above represents our official dress code for conclaves and other formal events, where we come together as brothers to advance the mission of the club.

The Aviary Club of Nigeria always organizes its events with a sense of class and high standards. As the only club in Nigeria that operates by adopting the principles of birds, we draw inspiration from their diverse and vibrant nature. Just as birds come in many colors, our events are colorful, educational, and professional, never secretive. We embody the timeless saying: “Be soft as a bird and harmless as a dove.”

Our gatherings are not just social occasions; they are platforms to nurture new leaders who will guide the club into a brighter future, contributing positively to mankind and humanity. The Aviary Club is committed to grooming men into noble and responsible leaders who uphold accountability and integrity in every aspect of life.

While our members may belong to different political parties, the club itself does not engage in politics. Each member is entitled to their personal opinion, but as an organization we are guided by our constitution, which emphasizes nobility, responsibility, and accountability. Members have legitimate source of livelihood.

The Aviary Club advises all youths to stay away from gangs and cultism, to always embrace peace, and to avoid jungle justice. As a brotherhood built on discipline, leadership, and service, we believe that peace and unity are the true foundations of progress.

We congratulate the Edo State Government on its bold new steps and commitment in the fight against cultism, gangs, and thuggery that have long caused havoc in our communities. This is a commendable development and a sign of true leadership.

High above the fields lived two crows, Kora and Nilo. One morning, they both spotted a farmer setting traps with shiny corn inside.

Kora circled once and said, “This is too easy. Corn never lies waiting in the open without reason.” She flew off to search elsewhere.

Nilo laughed, “You’re too cautious! Fortune favors the bold.” He swooped down and landed in the trap. By the time he realized the truth, the door had closed behind him.

From a distant tree, Kora called, “Wisdom is not fear, brother,it is sight. Better to miss a feast today than to lose your wings forever.”

And so Kora lived to fly another day, while Nilo learned too late that not all gifts are given freely.
